Janet has combined her appreciation for the art of First Nations peoples with her love of quilting to create wall hangings, table runners, place mats and bed quilts. Her wall hangings, which feature hand appliqued and quilted designs in bold, vibrant colors, incorporating ancient and modern First Nation spiritual symbols, animal and bird figures and leaf designs, are available in various sizes from small 8 x 10 to larger 24 x 36 inches. Janet will take custom orders with personalized designs, or ones chosen from her collection for bed quilts, double, queen or king size. She also has a selection of men’s and ladies’ denim shirts that have been given a second life with patchwork quilted backs and fronts. Located at Nikihknan Crafts at Duncan’s Beach, Emerald Lake.
